Just an Ordinary Day

Just this morning, I was walking down the hall of CCS lockers, when somebody comes running down the hall and smashes into me. My bag falls straight out of my hand and I fall along with it. The person doesn't even stop to say sorry. A great start to my day, right?

Once I get back up, I take off my jacket, pick up my bag, and put them both in my locker. When I am done, I go into my classroom to make sure that I don't miss the very important pledge of allegiance. I get in there and the pledge is about to start. You better hurry up, I think to myself, even though I'm just in time.

After the pledge is over, my teacher gives us one of those do better with this, do better with that lectures. Mr. Perry, my teacher, gives lectures on a regular basis. Some of them are good, some of them are bad, I guess.

At the beginning of the school year, I thought I wouldn't have more than two friends, but I turned out to be wrong. I have about seven friends, including some boys.

At the end of the day before dismissal, Mr. Perry read our class a story. We are reading "Incident at Hawk's Hill." It is a pretty good book, considering that we are more towards the end. It is about a boy who runs away from to live with a badger, all because he's mad. It's two months before he's found and brought home.

Rotation one was a drag today because people kept on coming up to me and asking me what 2 + 2 was. Rotation one for me is reading and it is rare to read more than twenty pages per half an hour, which is my average.

Rotation two was a total success, probably because I love writing, second to math, which is my favorite subject.
